Welcome! My name is Danella Haro-Aguayo,
I’m an artist, illustrator, and art teacher—passionate about bringing beauty, emotion, and a touch of magic into everyday life through watercolor. My work is about more than just painting on a surface; it is about bringing inspiration, joy, and a sense of calm into your home and your daily life.
I’m originally from Peru; and growing up surrounded by rich culture, colors, and textures gave me a deep love for creativity and shaped the way I see the world today.
I live in New Jersey, where the landscape—from the Atlantic coast to the deep greens of the Poconos—provides a constant source of quiet energy for my paintings.
My 12+ years of experience as an Interior Designer taught me how much our surroundings affect our well-being. Now, I combine that structural eye with the fluid, graceful magic of nature.
At one point, life brought some unexpected turns—hard moments and big changes that led me to shift directions. That journey is why I often say:
“Interior Designer by choice, Graphic Designer by chance, Web Designer by opportunity, Artist and Children Book Illustrator by passion.”
Why watercolor?
Watercolor completely stole my heart. There’s something about the way it flows —sometimes unpredictable, yet graceful, always beautiful.
It feels like a conversation with nature itself. And now, it’s the soul of my work.
My style blends realism with the subtle magic found in nature’s hidden shades. When you look at my work, I want you to feel the same peace I feel when the brush meets the paper—a moment of stillness in a busy world.

With a BFA in Interior Design and a BS degree in Education, I have spent decades mastering the ways color and form influence our emotions and environments. My journey through various design disciplines has given me a precise eye for detail and a profound respect for the beauty of a well-crafted life.
